A Bird Afraid To Fly – Jake Allen Sharp

There once was a bird afraid to fly

Everyday he would look at the sky

And make a thousand excuses why

The wind is too cold, the nest too high

After many years he decided to sail

He tried to fly but his wings were frail

He fell to the ground though trying his best

If only he had stayed in the nest

His last thought before he did die

‘How foolish to think that a bird could fly’
