e-Speaks || November 13, 2009 U.S. House Passes Health Insurance Reform Bill Containing Provision for Autism Insurance ReformAutism Speaks applauds the members of the U.S. House of Representatives for passing a health care reform bill that contains a provision that will prohibit discrimination in benefits against people with autism by including behavioral health treatments as part of the essential benefits package.  IACC Votes to Include Research on Several Environmental Exposures  The IACC Tuesday unanimously approved a short-term research objective for studies to determine if there are sub-populations that are more susceptible to environmental exposures such as immune challenges related to naturally occurring infections, vaccines or underlying immune problems.
